項目概況

這個爲期四年的項目，旨在研究一個香港聾童的手語習得。接受本項目研究的聾童於一歲零九個月時開始學習手語，研究小組以每星期探訪的形式收集我們觀察聾童所得出的數據。
目的

• 建立香港手語習得語料庫，以記錄聾童習得香港手語的過程。
• 促進對聾童手語習得的研究。

重要性

• 這是亞洲首個研究聾童手語習得過程的研究。
• 此語料庫及研究成果使本地社群對聾童手語及口語的發展有更正確的評價。

活動

• 在三年內，每星期錄影該聾童及其妹妹的手語對話。
• 運用一套由荷蘭Max Planck Institute of Psycholinguistics研發的多媒體註譯軟件ELAN，將錄得的手語對話譯寫為可分析的資料。

• 語料庫收錄聾童於一歲零九個月至四歲零六個月的資料，並已譯寫好及儲存為ELAN格式。
