Conference on Sign Linguistics and Deaf Education in Asia 2010 (Hong Kong)

A 3-day international conference entitled ‘Conference on Sign Linguistics and Deaf Education in Asia’ was held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) from 28 to 30 January 2010. Three keynote speakers gave their presentations at the conference. They were Prof. Karen Emmorey, San Diego State University, Prof. Marc Marschark, Rochester Institute of Technology and Prof. James Woodward, Chinese University of Hong Kong. Sixty-four researchers from Hong Kong and other Asia-Pacific countries presented their research findings. There were also twenty-three oral presentations and thirteen poster presentations. The Centre presented one invited talk, eight papers and one poster at the conference. Over a hundred and forty participants attended the event.
